Our Strategy
National rejuvenation requires not only political commentary or electoral challenge; it requires a foundational cultural and institutional revival of the nation. The ANA’s strategy for securing the future of the Australian people is centred around two main pillars:
Firstly, the building up of a cadre of quality men that have the means and the competency to secure the legitimate interests of the Australian people. Secondly, the building up of our institution which ensures a sound system of consensus governance for our members through transparency, rules of order, rules of conduct, procedures for amenable dispute resolution and transfers of power.
Building up the cadre, in our view requires satisfying several needs, such as:
-
- Building positive social peer support, a genuine sense of community, identity and belonging for members in real-life branch activities in which members are encouraged to live full lives, improve themselves both intellectually, morally and practically in their careers and interests.
-
- Developing robust advocacy, project management and leadership skills amongst the membership and practicing in these skills in association activities and day-to-day branch administration.
-
- Developing the careers of the membership so they can bring influence, skills and opportunities to the Association and its members.
-
- Building hope and resilience of the membership by having a strategy amenable to meet the conditions of otherwise adverse outcomes at the national level.
-
- Building confidence and anti-fragility in the members by leaning on the ever-expanding capabilities and resources of the national association.
-
- Building cultural awareness of Australia’s heritage in poetry, writing, music and art – encouraging new cultural commentary and works as the legitimate continuity of the Australian nation.
As imbued in our charter of principles, “politics alone” is not a sufficient source of satisfaction in life to be able to sustain a productive life which is both personally beneficial and a net benefit to the Nation. It is key to our association’s strategy that the cadre must be made up of men living the best possible lives with marriage, career, community, religion, hobbies and interests. Men living full lives are the men who are able to bring competency, resources and emotional stability to the task at hand and apply themselves for a longer-time period, unlike the unemployed, hopeless and unstable political activists of yore who commonly burn bright and fast and are never heard from again.
The maintenance of sound systems of institutional governance is the difference between life and death for the organisation; as has been seen around the world, and in Australia, time and time again many Nationalist-leaning organisations have imploded due to their failure to properly manage their own internal affairs; to this end our Association has adopted much of the old systems of the first iteration of the ANA and added our own such as:
-
- Membership rights to appeal decisions made by their branch committees,
-
- Membership rights to view and scrutinise financial records,
-
- Annual elections for all office-bearing positions including branch committees and the national governing body.
-
- Establishing authorised sub-committees for managing various association projects and activities.
-
- Establishing rules of conduct, policies and procedures for ensuring the management of risks and standardisation of Association activities and conduct.
-
- Establishing trust funds for various purposes such as the national Litigation fund and media fund.
-
- Accumulating members of needed skill sets such as lawyers, project managers, builders, engineers, accountants and other vocations.
-
- Establishing beach-head positions of influence and authority in existing institutions and industries to provide opportunities for younger members or those down on their luck to find meaningful careers.
One of the key points is, if you put your blood sweat and tears into our organisation – you are not walking on eggshells. The members decide the destiny of the Association through elections and ballot proposals.
Anti-Fragility is a keystone of our Association strategy. It is key to effect any lasting change to confer any secure benefits to the next generation. It is key that the Association and its members are not crushed by the various pressures of the state, media or our political enemies. Nor should our Association be reliant on one or a few key figures or personalities. Consequentially, our association only engages in activities when the likely risk and the likely reward are properly balanced and a net, tangible gain to the Association can be readily expected. Furthermore, our democratic process ensures new leaders are found amongst the ranks and elevated and cultivated over the course of time, creating an endless stream of new and capable leaders for the Association.
Our vision is to build up the institutional strength, opportunity and resources to ensure that all members who desire to engage in public advocacy or even electoral challenge are both well-resourced themselves but have something to “fall back on” if times are tough.
Electoral Politics
If electoral politics is deemed to be a worthwhile endeavour in the future, it is mission critical to be able to field competent and compelling candidates: people with real life experience, credibility and community support. To field good candidates and keep their policy positions steady and faithful to the Nationalist mission it is critical to be the bedrock from which they derive the necessities of life such as housing and income. Furthermore, the association should be the source of the necessities of the campaign in manpower, financial and legal resources.
The starting point is not a race to publicity or electoral challenge. The starting point is building up the resources, manpower and institutional governance that are necessary precursors to being an effective electoral force. If you cannot govern, in a lasting and stable way, an association of 100 members, what hope have you governing an electoral party with 1500 members? or better yet, the entire Commonwealth?
Post-National Politics
Should the electoral path be unsuccessful or unviable, the Association’s institutions, manpower and resources will nonetheless become the necessary cornerstone of the future, remnant Australian nation that will persist on this land. No matter how adverse conditions become in the future, our Association will be the bedrock through which opportunities in employment, business and commerce are enabled and through which members are served through collective action and coordination.
Intentional Community
Many members of the Association are passionate about intentional community schemes; through intentional relocation to particular regions to increase the density, coordination and community strength of Nationalist families. These projects are expected to grow and develop in the future, likely regardless of the broader prospects of the whole nation.
Industry & Commerce
The Association is a strong advocate of not only advancing the careers of its members, but facilitating commercial arrangements between members, supporting the development or launching of new businesses and ventures. It is critical for our association to vertically integrate supply chains and build economic independence from the current ruling class. It is from a healthy pool of businesses and industries that the security and welfare of our people can be better secured in the future. Where appropriate in the future schemes such as forming an association deposit-taking institution (bank) or credit facility would be sought after to develop financial self-reliance and direct strategic capital flows to industrial projects that benefit our people.
Publication & Research Work
Our Association spends significant time and effort cultivating a credible trove of publishing materials that is spread through social media and other channels to raise awareness of not only Australia’s political challenges but also to raise awareness of and appreciation for our unique cultural heritage, our nation’s history and the sacrifices of the former generations. We believe it is not merely enough to provide running commentary on current events. We believe it is imperative to deeply immerse the next generation in a holistic knowledge of the Australian story in order to equip them with not only the moral imperative to serve the nation, but also to genuinely be in connection with it, as true inheritors and defenders of our national culture.
Conclusion
Our twofold strategy for the improvement of members and building up of our institutional capacity, resources and resilience will ensure the best possible outcomes for the future of our Nation regardless of the global tides and pressures that bear upon us. We invite all patriots committed to this long-term vision to get in touch and lend a hand in building the future of our association.
