Having been around the Nationalist scene for over a decade now, one thing that seems to re-occur over the course of history is this tendency of any coalition of individuals to engage in out of control purity spiraling on Ideological grounds.
Naturally, you must have standards as an organisation, to form a cohesive and effective unit charged with securing a particular outcome, there must be a shared vision of the goal that is sufficiently precise that all might pull in that same direction. The cohesiveness of the ‘goal’ is what binds men to action, and having too unclear of a goal is what can lead to division and factionalism which makes any coordinated effort impossible.
The question we must ask ourselves is, what is the required level of precision and definition of the goal that is both (1) sufficiently precise to allow effective action and cohesion but (2) that is broad enough that you can create a coalition of men who may differ on opinion on sliding scales on various subjects but you may still gather enough manpower and collective resources to effect change.
The ‘theorycel’ with undiagnosed autism will fight to his dying breath, quite unproductively, trying to convince all men of his one true unified theory of everything, and that anyone who departs from his theory is some kind of a traitor, an idiot or barely human. It takes manhood and humility to realise the natural limits of your own mind, imagination and capacity to flesh out a truly unified theory of everything that holds up, it takes self-confidence to be able to say to the world that you are still learning as you go and are brave enough to contemplate and engage with varied positions and viewpoints on any given matter, particularly one that is contentious.
Naturally then, we must acknowledge that in order to form an effective unit of human actors pulling in roughly the same direction, there must be a degree of good faith, candour and willingness to try to understand the perspectives of others. There are however sharp limits to this, lest we fall into the pits of Nihilism and intoxicate ourselves with relativistic thinking, and rob ourselves of the beauty and fundamental importance of acknowledging there are in-fact truths to which we all must submit to.
The reason for this brief discussion is to encourage our membership, and maybe the public at large with an interest in us, to grow in humility and self-confidence. You should not expect every other member of the association to have the exact same beliefs as you, and that is completely okay, and is in-fact an opportunity for you to stress test your own beliefs in good faith discussions with those with differing views. As the expression goes, iron sharpens iron, and to this end, we continue to encourage our branch meetings to engage in debates and rhetoric to practice the art of sharpening your mind and beliefs.
The somewhat pluralistic view of our association does have its limits however, there are hard truths that all members must submit to and that departure from them will result in the departer to walk the plank.
True ideals which you might call pre-ideological, such as the Australia-first loyalty, the acknowledgement of our unique ethnic identity and the paramount importance of defending it and seeking to its good welfare are never to be compromised on, particularly within the ranks of our own association.
There are naturally varying views on history, religion, strategy and conduct within the ranks which over the course of time, good faith debate and engagement have led to many healthy developments in the character of our membership and our organisation as a whole. Despite varied perspectives within the organisation, we still have our end goals agreed with sufficient (but not burdensome) precision to allow for effective group action and cohesion.
Further to this essay, is the A.N.A manifesto that is in development by some of our key academic members, this will give an even greater level of precision on the ‘hard truths’ and non-negotiables from which the organisation will continue to grow into the future decades. Watch this space!
To conclude, Every man in our association has a story, let us not lose the opportunity to share in the riches of the wisdom that can be drawn from it, to not be afraid of disagreement, but to engage with it, in good faith to grow, mature and strengthen our minds and stock to be better equipped for the battle in which we engage for the continuation and independence of our nationhood.
Yours, for the service of the nation.
